Overview
Leeds Trinity University is a fairly small university with a big reputation, mostly because all undergraduate degrees at Leeds Trinity include professional work experience. Within 15 months after graduation, 95% of graduates were either employed or engaged in postsecondary education, according to graduate outcomes released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) in 2022.
Here, every student gets the support they require to succeed both personally and academically. Leeds Trinity University has the highest level of student satisfaction among mainstream universities, according to the results of the National Student Satisfaction Survey conducted there in 2022.
While the university has long prioritised theology and teacher education, it has recently made large efforts to extend its journalism and media studies programmes, giving students access to state-of-the-art facilities for a range of subjects. A few of the new programmes that have been made accessible recently are two-year degrees in tourism and leisure management, sports coaching, and other related subjects. Students at Leeds Trinity have the excellent chance to participate in a professional work experience as part of every degree programme.
History
When Trinity College and All Saints College were established in 1966, the Sisters of the Cross and Passion and the Catholic Education Council, respectively, were in charge of them separately.
Sister Augusta Maria and Andrew Kean, the principals, collaborated closely before dividing up the administrative responsibilities when they were appointed to separate schools. Kean was in charge of the curriculum, faculty, and external relations at the school, while Sister Augusta was in charge of the finances, physical infrastructure, student life, and administrative duties. Their names are still attached to the Sister Augusta Maria C.P. Auditorium and the Andrew Kean Learning Centre.
In order to set themselves apart from their rivals, these schools offered their pupils a more practical education in the classroom because there was such a great demand for teachers in the 1960s.
